Barotrauma

Barotrauma is a 2D submarine simulation with survival horror, role-playing and management mechanics. Humanity survives beneath the ice of Jupiter's moon Europa. Your crew explores procedurally generated environments and undertakes missions while keeping the submarine operational.

Two to sixteen players can join multiplayer. Six crew roles cover command, engineering, mechanics, medical care, security and assistance. Keep the reactor, sonar, engines, pumps and weapons operating, repair damage and treat injured crewmates. Bots can fill vacant stations.

The game also includes a single-player campaign with AI crew, sandbox and missions, multiplayer traitor and PvP variants, editors and Steam Workshop support. Early Access began on June 5, 2019, and version 1.0 launched on March 13, 2023 for Windows, macOS and Linux. Optional crossplay between Steam and Epic versions was introduced in March 2024.
