Co-op Legends

Privacy policy

1. Controller and contact

The controller for personal data processed on coop-legends.com is Nico-Sebastian Lachner, Marnogasse 7/17, 1140 Vienna, Austria. Telephone: +43 650 2262949. Email: nico-sebastian@lachner.app.

2. Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted with IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Hosting processes technical connection information such as IP address, browser and operating-system information, the requested address, referrer and access time. This information is used to deliver the website, investigate errors and protect it against misuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure, reliable operation under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Access and error logs are rotated daily, and fourteen rotated log files are retained. Records needed to investigate a particular security incident or meet a legal obligation may be retained for that purpose until they are no longer required.

We use the hosting provider as a processor under a data-processing agreement. Details about the host are available in the IONOS privacy policy.

3. Email enquiries

Until a separate English-language mailbox is available, editorial enquiries are directed to kontakt@coop-legends.de. If you contact us by email, we process your address and the information you send to answer your enquiry. Depending on its nature, the basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual enquiries, or our legitimate interest in responding under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Correspondence is deleted when it is no longer needed, subject to legal retention requirements. There is currently no active contact-form delivery on this website.

4. Cookies, accounts and external services

Essential session cookies may be used for authenticated administration, OAuth authorisation and website security. Administrators and authorised editorial tools authenticate to access the CMS and its MCP interface. Account details, authentication information and revision records are processed to control access and document editorial changes, based on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Public registration is disabled.

The website does not currently load analytics scripts, advertising-network scripts, Discord widgets or Bluesky widgets. Displaying an ordinary server-offer or affiliate link does not itself load an advertising network. The German website has its own privacy information and may use different services.

Where optional content needs consent, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where information is stored on or accessed from your device, section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021). You may withdraw consent for the future. Technically necessary storage is used only as needed to provide the requested service.

Where Twitch channel information is shown, our server retrieves public channel status from Twitch. Images supplied by Twitch may cause your browser to contact Twitch or its content-delivery network and transmit technical connection information. External Twitch links open Twitch only when followed. See the Twitch privacy notice.

If an article contains a YouTube video, the player is loaded only after you activate it. At that point, your browser connects to YouTube and technical information, including your IP address, may be processed by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The player uses youtube-nocookie.com; this does not mean that playback involves no processing of personal data. You may also use the external video link. See the Google privacy policy.

5. Google Preferred Sources and other external links

The link to add coop-legends.com as a preferred source is an ordinary external link. This feature does not load a Google script or establish a Google connection merely by displaying the link. Following it opens Google's service, which processes data under its own privacy policy. Other external websites also process connection information when you visit them.

6. Server offers and affiliate links

Commercial server-offer cards are identified as Advertisement. An asterisk (*) identifies an affiliate link. If you follow such a link and make a booking, the provider may pay us a commission. The provider is responsible for the booking, its current prices and its contractual terms. The Server Finder's technical comparison is separate from a selected promotional placement.

Following an external offer link connects your browser to the relevant provider or affiliate service, which receives technical connection information such as your IP address and browser information. An affiliate destination can include a partner identifier used to attribute a booking. The provider's privacy policy and any consent requests apply on its website. No connection to that provider is established merely by displaying a text offer card on Coop Legends.

For affiliate links routed through our Server Finder, we keep a minimal click record containing a randomly generated click identifier, time, provider, offer and link context. This record does not contain your IP address, account identifier or email address. Its purpose is to reconcile referrals and investigate misuse; the legal basis is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Click records are deleted after thirteen months. Ordinary provider links without an affiliate URL do not create this affiliate click record.

Finder analytics is currently disabled on coop-legends.com. We do not enable analytics or associate affiliate clicks with an analytics run without the applicable consent.

7. Recipients and international transfers

Personal data is disclosed to service providers only as needed for the purposes described above, to fulfil a contract, to comply with a legal obligation or on another applicable legal basis. External providers process information under their own privacy notices when you follow their links or activate their content.

When external content is activated, its provider may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, transfers require an adequacy decision under Article 45 GDPR or appropriate safeguards under Article 46 GDPR. Details about the recipients, processing locations and safeguards are available in the linked privacy notices of the relevant providers.

8. Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent for the future. Please contact the controller using the details above.

You may complain to a competent supervisory authority, including the Austrian Data Protection Authority: www.dsb.gv.at.

In particular, you may request a copy of your personal data and information about its processing under Article 15 GDPR; correction under Article 16; erasure under Article 17; restriction under Article 18; and, where its conditions apply, portability under Article 20. Under Article 21, you may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may object to processing for direct marketing at any time.

9. Security, retention and updates

This website uses HTTPS/TLS to protect data in transit. Transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed to be entirely free of security risks.

Unless a more specific period is stated above, personal data is retained only while needed for the stated purpose, a legal obligation or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Data is deleted when those grounds no longer apply. This policy will be updated when additional mail, analytics, advertising or other integrations are activated.
